Level 2 Part 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training Course, Alaska
Have you always wanted to see Alaska? Are you a catechist in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd? This is your opportunity to visit Alaska for much less money! St John Orthodox Cathedral is hosting a Level 2 training course. You and your travel companions can stay at the school for $25 dollars per bed per night with a light breakfast provided in the morning. Your travel companions can see the sights while you're in class. Since the sun doesn't set in the summer, you can spend the evenings exploring Alaska, hiking mountain trails with breathtaking views, river rafting, biking along the coastal trail and many other wonderful and uniquely Alaskan activities.

Formation Leaders:
Ann Garrido and Linda Kaiel
Ann Garrido has been involved in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd since 1996, serving as a catechist with children and a formation leader with adults at all three levels. She is a member of the formation committee for the National Association of CGS and spiritual formation director for the MAPS-CGS program at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, MO. She is also the author of Mustard Seed Preaching (LTP, 2004). In her constant pursuit to crisscross the farthest reaches of the U.S, she is very excited to come to Alaska this summer from her current home in Miami, FL.
Linda Kaiel is a catechist at the Franciscan Montessori Earth School in Portland Oregon. There she continues to work with children each week at all three levels, 3-6, 6-9, and 9-12. Her formation as a catechist began with studies with Sofia Cavellletti in a summer course in 1985. Since 1991 she has worked as a formation leader throughout the United States. She also has trained internationally in Australia, Canada, Austria, Germany, England and most recently, in Kolkatta, India. Her time in India was spent training the Missionaries of Charity. Linda holds an AMI Montessori diploma, and has served on the National Associations Formation committee. She has attended Consiglio meetings (the International Council of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd) as a guest
